233 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Education if, in view of the special circumstances involved, she will appoint a home/school liaison person to a school (details supplied) in County Limerick; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
I am aware of the circumstances of the school in question.
As recently announced in the House, I propose allocating additional posts to the Home/School/Community Liaison Programme, with effect from September 1993 and the needs of this school will be fully considered in that context.
It is also my intention to allocate additional resources to meet the particular educational needs of traveller children and the needs of the school mentioned will also be considered in this context.
