52 Mr. M. McDowell asked the Minister for Justice whether the extradition arrangements that apply between the Republic and the United Kingdom were discussed at the recent Anglo-Irish Conference meeting; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
Extradition was among the matters discussed at the Anglo-Irish Conference meeting held in Belfast on 23 March. In that regard, the joint statement issued after the meeting records the fact that the Conference reviewed progress made towards the introduction and passage of amending legislation in both jurisdictions.
