323 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Education the way in which the 39 scholarship places for Irish students in summer schools on the continent of Europe are advertised nationally; and if she will place advertisements in the provincial media to draw attention to the availablility of these valuable scholarships.
The Summer School Scholarships to which the Deputy refers and which are offered to Irish Students are made known through the Government Information Services by means of a press release. Notification is also sent to all Third Level Institutions in which eligible candidates are studying and to other interested bodies.
I consider the existing publicity measures being taken by my Department to be adequate.
