Ceist:112 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will be paid his beef premium grant.

The person named applied for 1992 special beef premium scheme grants on 55 animals. Two of the tag numbers listed by him in respect of animals on his application were rejected when subjected to a validation check by computer. He was unable to account for the two tag numbers at inspection and did not have animals whose tag numbers could have been mistaken for those quoted. Unless a satisfactory explanation for the two tag numbers is forthcoming payment of 1992 special beef premium scheme grants cannot be considered and the person named may be debarred from the special beef premium scheme for 12 months.
