Ceist:

89 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications when an electricity grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick who is in a disadvantaged area, as electricity connection is required for family purposes; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The application in question was recently approved in my Department. The ESB will be in touch with the applicant shortly to quote him terms for supply. As soon as the ESB are notified of acceptance of the terms, the applicant will be placed on their work programme and the supply will be connected in due course.
