Vol. 431 No. 4

Written Answers. - Proposed Legislation.

Richard Bruton

Ceist:

55 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment the areas of possible legislative change where work is being undertaken within his Department; and the priority ranking which he is according to these legislative proposals.

The following is a list of the items of primary legislation currently being undertaken by my Department: Forfas Bill, 1993; Terms of Employment Bill; legislation to implement EC Directive on Consumer Credit; Apprenticeship Levy Bill; Employment Agency (Amendment) Bill; Protection of Employment (Amendment) Bill; Weights and Measures Bill; Casual Trading Bill; amending credit union legislation and amendment of Friendly Societies Acts 1896 to 1977. While each item is of importance, priority is being given to the enactment of the Forfas Bill, 1993.
