144 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Education the number of male and female teachers who were trained in the teacher training colleges in each of the years from 1970 to 1992.

The information sought by the Deputy is not readily available in the format requested in relation to the Colleges of Education for primary teachers. However, I have arranged that the information will be compiled and forwarded to the Deputy as soon as possible.

The information in relation to the Colleges of Education for Home Economics is set out on the attached Table.
