Ceist:145 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Education if any pupils have been expelled from any national schools under Rule 130 of the Rules for National Schools in the last year.

Boards of Management have ultimate responsibility for all matters relating to discipline in the school, and are not required to provide information to my Department regarding expulsion of pupils.
I am not, therefore, in a position to provide the information sought by the Deputy.
