Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 (3) (a) and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Frank Crowley — The plans for the provision of a new primary school at Tullylease, Charleville, County Cork, as the existing conditions are unacceptable to parents, teachers and children; (2) Deputy Paul Connaughton — The funding of the new sewerage scheme at Williamstown, County Galway; (3) Deputy Jimmy Deenihan — The need for the Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry to withdraw Agriculture House, Oakpark, Tralee, County Kerry, from public auction in view of its architectural value and cultural potential and to ensure that it is retained in public ownership; (4) Deputy Bernard Durkan — The subject matter of Parliamentary Question No. 82 to the Minister for Social Welfare on 20 May 1993; (5) Deputy Eoin Ryan — The arrest of an Irish citizen, details supplied, by the British Authorities and the allegations made against him; (6) An Teachta Éamon Ó Cuív — An gá atá ann go ndéanfadh an tAire Oideachais an dara hoide a fhágáil i scoil náisiúnta Inis Meáin; (7) Deputy Seymour Crawford — The need for the Minister for Enterprise and Employment to take action to save the jobs of up to 150 people at the CPV factory in Clones, County Monaghan; (8) Deputy Pat Upton — The need for the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry to ensure that all meat offered to Irish consumers is examined in accordance with the present legal requirements; (9) Deputy Richard Bruton — The deficit in the pension fund of foremen employed by Dublin Cargo Handling which is now in liquidation; (10) Deputy Trevor Sargent — The question of rights-of-way and other related matters in connection with a golfing and hotel development in Portmarnock, County Dublin; (11) Deputy Philip Hogan — The need for the Minister for the Marine to investigate the extent of the illegal fishing activities in the Waterford Estuary which is damaging the angling potential of the Rivers Barrow, Nore and Suir; (12) Deputy Mary Flaherty — The dangerous condition of Holy Spirit national school, Ballymun, Dublin 11; and the unacceptable delays in sanctioning its refurbishment; (13) Deputy Alan Shatter — The States's failure to comply with Article 42.4 of the Constitution to provide free primary education for mentally handicapped children, as determined by the High Court on Thursday, 27 May 1993; and the action required; (14) Deputy Jim O'Keeffe — The need to include, in the terms of reference of the Telephone Users Advisory Group, a provision to enable it investigate and report on the discrimination that exists as between Dublin city, county and adjacent areas which are all being classified as one local call area whereas Cork city and county is not similarly classified; (15) Deputy Enda Kenny — The need to provide a major sewerage scheme for Ballinrobe, County Mayo in respect of which £3 million has been set aside by the Department of the Environment.

I have selected for discussion the matters raised by the following Deputies: Deputy Eoin Ryan; Deputy Deenihan; and Deputy Enda Kenny.
