Ceist:

49 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will approve a grant of £15,000 to the Clonmel Branch of the Irish Red Cross Society for the purchase of a new Ford Transit Hi-Line Van Unit and the conversion of this to an ambulance, an application for which was forwarded to his Department recently; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

An application under the scheme of grants to voluntary social service organisation has been received from the organisations concerned. The application is at present being processed and as soon as a decision is made the organisation concerned will be notified.
