100 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment the reason a temporary caretaker cannot be appointed to a school (details supplied) in County Limerick; if an embargo has been put on such appointments; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I do not have any function with regard to the appointment of temporary caretakers to schools. If the question relates to the provision of caretaking services in the school in question through a Social Employment Scheme (SES) project then this would, of course, be a day to day matter for FÁS.
I have recently advised this House of the overall position in so far as I am concerned with regard to school based SES projects.
