101 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment the total number of people who availed of FÁS apprentices for each of the years from 1987 to 1992; the number of these apprentices who commenced full time employment upon completion of apprenticeship; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I take it that the Deputy wishes to obtain information on the number of persons completing apprenticeship over the years 1987 to 1992 and their employment status on completion of apprenticeship.
Details of the number of persons who completed apprenticeships for each of the years 1987 to 1992 are set out in a tabular statement which will be circulated in the Official Report.
Information on the number of persons who were retained by their employers or obtained employment elsewhere having completed their apprenticeships is not available as the records maintained by FÁS do not extend to employment status after completion of apprenticeship.
