123 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for Finance the amount paid in legal fees by the State in 1991, 1992 and to date in 1993; the legal firms, solicitors and barristers who receive such fees; the amount received by each; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
It did not prove possible in the time available to obtain the information sought by the Deputy in respect of the Votes under my aegis.
I expect to have this information within a matter of weeks and I will arrange for the data to be sent to the Deputy when it is available.
Should the Deputy wish to obtain information relevant to Votes outside my area of direct responsibility I would recommend that he put a similar question to the appropriate Ministers concerned (e.g. Justice, Equality and Law Reform etc.).
