19 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Minister for Tourism and Trade if he will give his response to the views expressed by the Comptroller and Auditor General in his last Report on the operation of the Export Guarantee Arrangement under the Insurance Act, 1953; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The Comptroller and Auditor General included a number of paragraphs on issues arising under subhead N.1 — Export Guarantee Arrangements under the Insurance Act, 1953, as amended — in his report on the 1991 Appropriation Accounts. These paragraphs reflect information supplied by the accounting officer in response to a number of queries from the comptroller and I can assure the Deputy that I am in full accord with the responses made by the accounting officer.
