79 Mr. Connor asked the Minister for Education if she will give details of Ministers of State serving in the present Government, or persons holding senior office with the European Commission, who hold teaching posts or are on leave of absence from teaching posts remunerated by her Department at the present time; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
The following Government Ministers and Ministers of State are currently on leave of absence from their teaching posts: Brendan Howlin, T.D., Minister for Health; Noel Dempsey, T.D., Minister of State, Department of the Taoiseach; Mary O'Rourke, T.D., Minister of State, Department of Enterprise and Employment; Tom Kitt, T.D., Minister of State, Department of Taoiseach; Brian O'Shea, T.D., Minister of State, Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry.
Padraig Flynn, European Commissioner, is also on leave of absence from his teaching post.
