Ceist:61 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for Justice when the provision of a computerised command and control system at the Anglesea Street Garda headquarters in Cork will be finalised; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

It is not proposed to provide a computerised command and control system at the Garda divisional headquarters in Anglesea Street, Cork. An enhanced radio system is to be introduced and the Garda authorities are currently evaluating the latest technology for this purpose. Following assessment of their proposals by the Garda Communications Advisory Committee, tenders will be sought for the equipment concerned.
