Ceist:

50 Mr. Barrett asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the fact that a grant of £10,000 allocated to Killiney Beach Awareness Group under the amenities/recreational facilities grant scheme for an interpretative centre, and which the group intended to utilise for interpretative panels, booklets and leaflets has been cut to £1,000; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The grant of £10,000 was surrendered because the project sponsors were unable to proceed with the provision of an interpretative centre. A grant of £1,000 was allocated to an alternative project involving the provision of interpretative panels on Killiney beach.
