While various lands owned by the State were transferred to Coillte Teoranta in the context of establishing the company in January 1989, the lands in question were among a number of properties retained in State ownership.
I am aware that these lands have been the subject of expressions of interest by a number of parties. I consider it appropriate that the State should now dispose of these properties and preparatory arrangements are being made in this regard.
