Vol. 435 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions Written Answers. - Rathcoole (Dublin) School.

Chris Flood

Ceist:

41 Mr. Flood asked the Minister for Education the progress, if any, that has been made in the provision of a new purpose-built building to accommodate Scoil Chrónáin, Rathcoole, County Dublin, to replace the unsuitable prefabricated buildings occupied by the school for the past 18 years; if she will include the necessary finance in her Departments' Estimates for 1994 to enable construction of the new buildings to commence; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I am glad to inform the Deputy that it is proposed to provide a new seven classroom block and convert the existing school building to provide a classroom, remedial room and ancilliary accommodation. This project is at working drawing stage. It will be considered for inclusion in the construction phase of the building programme in due course in the light of available resources and other commitments and priorities.
