Ceist:171 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Health when he will establish an appeal mechanism for decisions on eligibility to medical card and other health services.

I am at present considering proposals for the establishment of such an appeals system. I hope to announce my decision on the matter in the New Year.
