111 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for the Environment if, in view of the fact that contract documents have been submitted to his Department in respect of a scheme (details supplied) in County Mayo, it is proposed to grant approval for this scheme.
Contract documents in respect of the Ballyhaunis water supply augmentation scheme together with proposals to extend the scheme to serve the Bekan group water scheme are under consideration in my Department. The question of funding for this scheme, and its proposed extension, is being examined in the context of the post-1993 operational programme for environmental services.
