116 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Defence the total amount of money from the proceeds of the national lottery which has been distributed by his Department; and the total amount of such moneys that has been allocated to community, sporting and voluntary bodies.
117 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Defence the total amount of money made available to his Department from the proceeds of the national lottery since 1 January 1993; and the uses to which this money has been put.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 116 and 117 together.
The total amount of funding made available to this Department from the national lottery as from 1 January 1993 was £1,189,000. This amount has been used to fund Subheads of the Defence Vote 1993 as follows:
