Ceist:148 Mr. B. Smith asked the Minister for Equality and Law Reform when he will publish the Bill in relation to the law of occupiers' liability.
Written Answers. - Occupiers' Liability.
The reform of the law on occupiers' liability is an issue which is receiving priority within my Department and proposals will be brought forward as quickly as possible to update that law, taking into account the work of the Law Reform Commission. In this context, the commission recently held a seminar, at which my Department was represented, to give the various interested groups an opportunity to develop further their initial responses to the consultative paper which was published by the commission. The legislation will aim to accommodate the concerns of those groups to the greatest extent practicable.
