Ceist:69 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Justice if she will transfer two buildings which were the former residential homes of the local Garda Síochána to the local community care group in Waterville, County Kerry.
Written Answers. - Transfer of Garda Property.
I am advised by the Garda authorities that the two sets of married quarters at Waterville, County Kerry form part of the same building and are under the same roof as the Garda station. It is firm Garda policy not to recommend the disposal of married quarters in such cases, for security and other compelling reasons.
I am informed by the Garda authorities, however, that they would have no objections to both of the properties being leased subject to Garda requirements and the usual Office of Public Works leasing conditions being met.
