Vol. 438 No. 3

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Bernard J. Durkan

Ceist:

88 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment the maximum disabled person's grant available to persons (details supplied) in County Kildare who are building their first new home, and have two disabled children; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The maximum grant for the provision of a new dwelling is £3,000. In the case of a dwelling to be occupied by a person or persons who is/are physically handicapped or suffering from severe mental handicap/illness two of the normal qualifying conditions do not apply, viz: the requirement that the applicant or his/her spouse should not previously have provided a dwelling for their occupation; the maximum floor area limit of 125 sq. metres.

Ceist:

89 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a headage payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Payment of the 1993 sheep headage grant was made to the person named on 11 January 1994.

Ceist:

90 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a suckler cow premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The person named is not the registered owner of the herd number quoted. The application of the registered owner for suckler cow premium for small-scale milk producers is being processed at present and if found in order premium will be paid to him in the near future. However, as the application was received one day after the closing date for receipt of applications, any premium payable will be subject to a 1 per cent deduction. He has already been paid an advance under the 1993 cattle and equines headage scheme. This application is being processed further at present and if found in order the balance will be paid shortly.

Ceist:

91 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a beef premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The herdowner's address in this case does not appear to be correct. If the Deputy supplies the herd number of the person on whose behalf she is making inquiries my Department will supply the information requested.

Ceist:

92 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a beef premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The application of the person named for grants under the January-February 1993 special beef premium scheme is being processed at present and if found in order a 60 per cent advance, as provided in EU Regulations, will be paid shortly. He did not apply for grants under the special beef premium scheme in the June 1993 application period.

94 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a beef premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The person named has been deemed ineligible for grants under the December 1992 special beef premium scheme as premium had already been paid on all animals on his application. His application for grants under the January-February 1993 special beef premium scheme is being processed at present and if found in order a 60 per cent advance as provided in EU Regulations will be paid shortly. He did not apply for grants under the special beef premium scheme in the June 1993 application period.
