Vol. 438 No. 4

Written Answers. - Industrial Projects Data.

Richard Bruton

Ceist:

126 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment if, in respect of an industrial project (details supplied), he will give the level of employment projected in each of the next five years, the total value of wages to be paid to Irish workers initially and at peak, the value of gross output initially and at peak, the value of Irish sourced materials to be used initially and at peak, the value of Irish sourced services to be purchased and the value of Government grants or other incentives being provided; and if he will give the same information in respect of the cumulative list of overseas industrial projects which have obtained Cabinet approval since the formation of the Government.

The industrial project referred to by the Deputy, which I announced for Galway on 2 February 1994, is expected to create 500 jobs over the next five years, including 250 jobs within the next three years. The other data sought by the Deputy in relation to overseas industrial projects is confidential between the promoters and IDA Ireland. Grant payments for the projects will be published in due course in the annual reports of IDA Ireland.
