140 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for the Environment his views on whether there is an urgent need for a new sewerage scheme in the Garrettstown/ Garrylucas area near Kinsale, County Cork; and whether approval and funding will be forthcoming for such a scheme.

Preliminary proposals for a sewerage scheme to serve this area were submitted to my Department in 1988. The results of additional preliminary investigations requested by my Department have not yet been notified, and it is currently for Cork County Council to progress the scheme.
