74 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice, arising from her reply to Parliamentary Question No. 125 of 9 February 1994, the purpose for which the person in question had 10 live rabbits in the boot of a car at Mullingar Greyhound Track, County Westmeath.
I am informed by the Garda authorities that this matter was thoroughly investigated and that no criminal offence was detected. The explanation offered by the individual concerned was that the rabbits were intended for domestic consumption. The Garda have no evidence that would refute the explanation given.
