Vol. 439 No. 1

Written Answers. - Rooskey (Roscommon) School.

John Connor

Ceist:

63 Mr. Connor asked the Minister for Education the stage at which the proposal to construct a new school at Rooskey, County Roscommon is at; if the necessary funding to build the school will be provided in 1994; and if her attention has been drawn to the fact that the existing school in Rooskey is a very overcrowded, deteriorated building which has been deemed unfit to operate as a school.

Following consideration of all the factors involved, my Department has decided that the most appropriate solution to the accommodation requirements of this school is the provision of a new school. The architectural planning of the project will be proceeding accordingly. The project has been included in my Department's national school capital programme.
