Ceist:188 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education if she has received a national lottery grant application from an organisation (details supplied) in County Meath; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - National Lottery Grant.
An application has been received under my Department's recreational facilities scheme from the organisation in question. All applications received under the scheme by the closing date of 4 March 1994 are presently under consideration by my Department.
A decision in the matter will be made as soon as possible.

Ceist:189 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education when she will allocate national lottery grants in connection with sports facilities and other recreational facilities; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
An allocation of £1 million from the proceeds of the national lottery was provided for the recreational facilities scheme in the 1994 Estimates for the Public Services. An additional £3 million allocated for this scheme in the 1994 budget was provided from the Exchequer. An advertisement was placed in the national papers on 11 February, 1994 inviting applications under this scheme.
All applications received under the scheme by the closing date of 4 March, 1994 are presently under consideration by my Department.
A decision on the applications received will be made as soon as possible.
