I recently decided to establish a company law review group, representative of various interested parties, to examine and report to me on a number of specific issues in relation to company law, including the operation of the Companies (Amendment) Act, 1990, which provides for the appointment of examiners to companies. When the review group reports, if considered necessary, I will bring forward appropriate amending legislation.
