I am pleased to inform the House that the European Commission agreed its approach on the Community Initiatives 1994-1999 on 16 February 1994. Draft guidelines for a series of individual initiatives, including the employment and development of human resources initiatives, have been adopted by the European Commission. One of the elements of this initiative will be known as Employment-NOW and will represent a continuation of the present NOW initiative.
