Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Jimmy Deenihan

Ceist:

125 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a beef cow grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry.

The person named was paid his 1993 cattle headage grant on 7 March 1994.

Jimmy Deenihan

Ceist:

126 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when headage grant payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry.

The person named was paid an advance under the 1993 cattle headage beef cow scheme. His application cannot be processed further, however, until a form given to him at on-farm inspection of 22 October 1993 is completed and returned to the local livestock office. He was reminded of the need to complete this form relating to date on which heifers were due to calf before the end of 1993 when he telephoned the local office on 17 February 1994.

Enda Kenny

Ceist:

127 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if a person (details supplied) in County Mayo is entitled to cattle headage and premium; and the up-to-date position regarding maximum amounts payable to this person.

The person named is an applicant for the 1993 cattle headage and 1993 sheep headage schemes. He was paid his sheep headage grant in full on 29 November 1993 and an advance of his cattle headage grant on 3 December 1993. The amount of his cattle headage grant was restricted as he declared insufficient acreage on his area aid application. In order to receive his full grant he would need to have approximately 87 acres and not 72.77 acres as he declared.

Paul Bradford

Ceist:

128 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if a person (details supplied) in County Cork will be awarded a suckler cow quota under the national reserve in view of the fact that he had been paid the suckler cow premium for a number of years prior to 1992.

The person named has been allotted a suckler cow quota of 23 premium rights — the number of eligible cows he presented for inspection in 1992.

Bernard J. Durkan

Ceist:

129 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry whether an application for cereal aid will be approved in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare who inadvertently completed section C of the application form when he should have completed section B, but who subsequently brought the error to the attention of his Department; his views on whether this explanation is acceptable; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The explanation furnished by the applicant in this case has been accepted by my Department and payment will be issued shortly.
