Vol. 440 No. 7

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Frank Crowley

Ceist:

175 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when the balance of cattle and equine headage grants will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The person named was paid advances of his 1993 cattle headage and equine headage grants on 27 November 1993 and 31 December 1993 respectively. His application under the cattle headage scheme is being processed further at present and, if found in order, the balance due will be paid in the near future. The balance due under the equine headage scheme cannot be processed for payment until documentation requested from the applicant on 2 March 1994 has been submitted by him.

Ceist:

176 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a depopulation grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The depopulation grant due to the person named will be paid in the near future.

Jim Higgins

Ceist:

177 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason that headage has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo.

The person named was paid an advance of his 1993 cattle headage grant on 27 November 1993. His application is being processed further at present and any balance due will be paid in the near future. His application under the 1993 suckler cow premium is being processed at present. A 60 per cent advance will be paid shortly but the balance due cannot be paid until all applications received from him in the course of 1993, including his area aid application have been processed. This is necessary to ensure compliance with EU regulations covering in particular the ceiling on eligible animals and stocking density.
