Ceist:

45 Mr. Haughey asked the Taoiseach the offices under the control of his Department which have been relocated from Dublin under the decentralisation programme since the year 1987; the locations of the new offices; the number of jobs transferred; and the further proposals, if any, he has in this regard.

The Taoiseach

The major part of the Central Statistics Office was decentralised to Cork in January 1994. It is located in the Mahon area of Blackrock, Cork city. Approximately 400 jobs were transferred to Cork from Dublin.

At present, I have no further proposals in this regard.
