13 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Finance the amount of money that has been expended on legal action relating to Mullaghmore since the decision to build an interpretative centre there was first challenged; and the amount of money it is costing to keep the project in abeyance.
The amount of money expended defending the legal action in relation to the High Court and Supreme Court hearings in respect of the Burren National Park visitor centre near Mullaghmore was £231,124.51.
The ongoing cost of securing the site including the cost of insurance etc. pending outcome of the legal and planning process is £3,543.75 per week.
