Vol. 441 No. 8

Written Answers. - Convalescent Home Regulation.

Gay Mitchell

Ceist:

129 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health if he has satisfied himself that the provisions of existing legislation with regard to the control of convalescent homes is sufficient in view of the circumstances of the case of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 24; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Ceist:

130 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health if he will have arrangements made to investigate the circumstances concerning the eviction of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 24 from a convalescent home because his daughters complained about the quality of service in the home regarding understaffing, dietary requirements, hygiene and heating to both the Eastern Health Board and the Minister for Health; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 129 and 130 together.

I am having the matter raised by the Deputy investigated. I will write separately to the Deputy with the findings.
