89 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork is not being paid the ten month beef premium for 1994 in view of the fact that all animals listed on the application were born between 1 April 1992 and 30 April 1993.
The person named applied for ten month premium on 11 animals under the February 1994 special beef premium scheme on 18 February 1994. In order to qualify for premium under this scheme animals had to be born between 1 May 1992 and 31 May 1993. As the date of birth given for one of these animals was April 1992 this animal is ineligible for premium. Payment of grants on the remaining ten eligible animals cannot be made before 1 November 1994 under EU regulations.
