100 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health if he will facilitate an application by a senior citizens group (details supplied) in Dublin 12 for national lottery funding in view of the excellent work carried out by the group and their need for assistance.
The application for national lottery funding by the senior citizens group referred to in the question has been made to the Eastern Health Board and in the first instance is a matter for the board. This application will be considered by the health board for payment from the block grant which is allocated by me for disbursement to local voluntary bodies in accordance with guidelines laid down by my Department.
