59 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork has not yet received payment of his 1993 suckler cow premium application; the amount due to this person; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The person named applied for premium on 22 cows under the 1993 suckler cow scheme for small-scale milk producers on 30 June 1993. Since he was not an applicant in 1992 under the suckler cow premium scheme he did not have automatic right to quota. However, he has recently been allocated a quota of 19 premium rights from the special reserve. His application for grants under the 1993 scheme can now be processed and payment on 19 animals will issue shortly.
60 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when beef premium payments will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; and if he will expedite these payments.
The person named applied for 22 month special beef premium on 14 animals in January-February 1993. In June 1991 he applied for special beef premium on 13 of the animals listed on this application. While processing the application for payment it was found that the ages for these 13 animals were inconsistent with their ages on the June 1991 application. This problem has been resolved and payments will be made shortly.
61 Mr. Carey asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Clare will be paid his sheep headage; and when this file was passed from the Ennis office of his Department.
The herd number quoted is not correct and my Department has no record of having issued a herd number to the person named.
63 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when the balance of a June ten month special beef premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.
The person named applied for premium on three animals under the June 1993 ten month special beef premium scheme but as ten month premium was already paid on two of these animals she is only eligible for premium on one animal. Full premium in respect of this animal was paid on 11 May 1994.
