73 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if, according to his Department's records, a person (details supplied) in County Wexford has clear and freehold title to his land which was bought, and fully paid for, from the Land Commission.
The lands in question are registered in Land Registry under Folio 4123F. The title to same is freehold. Under the Registration of Title Act 1964 lands vested by the Land Commission are registered with possessory title. If the registered owner wishes, he can make an application to the Land Registry to convert the possessory title to absolute title.
