53 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for the Environment the studies, if any, that have been carried out to ascertain if the railway bridges over the River Suir at Grannagh and over the Rivers Barrow and Nore at Great Island could be used in a dual purpose capacity for road and rail traffic; and if not, if he will commission such a study.

I am not aware of any studies of the kind referred to in respect of these bridges. I will, however, be happy to consider any proposals for such studies which the local authorities or other bodies concerned may wish to put forward.
