Ceist:129 Mrs. Owen asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs if he has established the UN 50 Irish Committee; if so, the membership of the committee; and if it has commenced its work. [1484/94]
Written Answers. - UN 50 Irish Committee.
The arrangements for the formation of the Irish National Committee for UN50 under my chairmanship are almost complete. The committee will include members of the Oireachtas, the Irish United Nations Association and similar bodies, the social partners, the financial sector, the media and other areas of national life, as well as Telecom Éireann, An Post and Government Departments. I intend to convene the first formal meeting of the committee shortly.
