Vol. 447 No. 1
219 Mr. Lowry asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the present position regarding an application made to his Department for a 22 month beef premium by a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary. [3002/94]
The person named was paid £1,370.98 on 22 August 1994 in respect of 26 animals applied for under the January-February 1993 (22 month) special beef premium scheme. He applied for grants on 15 animals under the November 1993 (ten month) special beef premium scheme. It was found, however, that 13 of the animals applied for in November 1993 had been paid a ten month premium previously and therefore could not be paid a ten month premium a second time. Payment in respect of the two remaining animals (£105.46) was made on 13 September 1994.
220 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a sheep premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3018/94]
Payment of the advance of the 1994 ewe premium was made to the person named on 7 November 1994.
221 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when extensification premia will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3019/94]
Extensification premium is payable to suckler cow premium and special beef premium applicants whose stocking density as calculated in accordance with EU regulations is less than 1.40 livestock units per hectare.
As the stocking density of the person named for 1993 was not less than 1.40 livestock units per hectare he is not entitled to extensification premium for that year.
222 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim will be paid his suckler cow grant for 1992 and 1993. [3026/94]
The person named applied for grants on four suckler cows and two in-calf heifers under the June 1992 suckler cow premium scheme.
Under the terms and conditions of that scheme as laid down by the EU applicants should only have applied for premium on genuine suckler cows and should not have included in-calf heifers on the application forms.
As the person named declared in his cattle headage application form that the two animals were in-calf heifers it has been accepted that no fraud was intended and it has been decided to pay 1992 suckler cow premium scheme grants to him in respect of his four suckler cows. That payment is being processed at present and will issue shortly. The application of the person named for grants under the June 1993 suckler cow premium scheme is also being processed at present and payment under this scheme will also issue shortly.
