Vol. 450 No. 7

Written Answers. - Fostering Allowance.

Tony Gregory

Ceist:

40 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Health the reason a person (details supplied) in Dublin 1, who has fostered a child now 12 years old for the last 10½ years was refused a fostering allowance; and if he will review the matter urgently. [5754/95]

Fostering allowances are payable by health boards to approved foster parents in respect of foster placements that they arrange. I understand from the relevant health board and this is not in the case in relation to the person specified by the Deputy. I have asked the health board to contact the person in question to explain the situation.
