74 Mr. B. Smith asked the Minister for Education if she will provide urgent funding towards the provision of a proper playing pitch at Cavan vocational school, County Cavan, in view of the inadequate recreational facilities available to the 600 pupils attending this school. [5744/95]
My Department has received a proposal from County Cavan Vocational Education Committee regarding the development of a playing pitch at Cavan vocational school. However, due to the demands on the available capital resources priority is being given to the provision of essential teaching spaces. In the circumstances therefore it is not possible to provide a capital allocation for the development of the playing pitch at this school.
