Written Answers. - Recycling Old Telephone Directories.
A significant amount of the waste paper produced by my Department is sent for recycling each year. In excess of 400 tons of waste paper was disposed of in this manner in 1994 and this total included some telephone directories. The arrangements for the disposal of used telephone directories are being reviewed to see if the number of directories sent for recycling can be increased.
