24 Mrs. O'Rourke asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the number of official receptions hosted since the change of Government on 15 December 1994; the number planned for the remainder of 1995; the events or meetings these receptions mark; and the number and purpose of such receptions during 1994. [7957/95]

Two official receptions have been hosted since the change of Government on 15 December 1994 — the first to mark the launch of Operational Programme for Food and the second on the occasion of the launch of the Charter of Rights for Farmers.

Three official receptions are planned for the remainder of 1995 to mark the occasions of the 1995 international annual meeting of the Society for the Study of Fertility, the European Association for Potato Research "Phytophthora 150" Conference and the Conference on "International Development in Process Efficiency and Quality in the Meat Industry.

Two other official receptions were hosted during 1994 to mark the 33rd Annual Congress of the British Equine Veterinary Association and the 1994 Conference of the World Greyhound Racing Federation.
