73 Mr. M. McDowell asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the total amount collected by his Department by virtue of deductions from forestry scheme payments; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8776/95]
My Department applies an administration charge of 5 per cent of the value of the payment applying to beneficiaries of all forestry grants. This charge is collected prior to the payment of the grant which is then made in full. The total amount collected since the introduction of this charge is £3.223 million.
