108 Mr. E. Ryan asked the Minister for Health if he will give details of the involvement of officials of his Department or its agencies in the pollution problem of Ballycroy in County Mayo; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8641/95]

Limerick East): I am advised by the Western Health Board that following concerns expressed in the Ballycroy area of County Mayo over the quality of the water from a group supply scheme there samples of the water were tested and found to be unsatisfactory. The board's director of community care and medical officer of health for Mayo has advised Mayo County Council, which has responsibility for water supplies, on the measures necessary to safeguard public health.
